How to fix dpkg was interrupted/apt-get install etc. problems?

sudo dpkg --configure -a

This command will rebuild your system kernel , and your apt-get problems will be solved, you can use sudo apt-get update again.

dpkg was interrupted

sudo dpkg --configure -a

When you end your apt-get in unusual way, such as press Ctrl+C key when installing software, you may breakdown your system files, type

sudo dpkg --configure -a
